This Privacy Policy describes how Clock In ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application. By using Clock In, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your phone number (for authentication) and any profile information you enter (name, employer, role).
Time-tracking data: Timestamps for each clock-in and clock-out event you record, along with any notes you attach.

1.2 Information collected automatically

Device information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
Usage data: Features you use, actions you take, and diagnostic data such as crash reports.
Approximate location: Derived from your IP address by advertising partners. We do not access precise GPS location.

1.3 Advertising identifiers

If the app displays advertisements, we (and our advertising partners) may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android). On iOS 14.5 and later, we ask for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing this identifier.

2. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and provide the app's core time-tracking features.
To generate reports (PDFs) that you request.
To send notifications you have enabled (shift reminders, clock-out prompts).
To improve app performance and diagnose crashes.
To display advertisements and measure ad effectiveness.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging) — Firebase Privacy
Google AdMob (advertising) — Google Ads Policy

These services may collect and process data as described in their respective privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and time-tracking data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing d3dpall@gmail.com. We will delete your data within 30 days of receiving a valid request, except where retention is required by law.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU under GDPR and California under CCPA), you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Withdraw consent to advertising personalization at any time via your device settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Clock In is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, secure authentication, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced in the app.
